Traditional music rights societies typically:

2. license in only one territory,
3. license only one right type, and
4. only license the catalog controlled by the subset of copyright owners they represent.

2. licenses in all territories,
3. licenses all right types, and

In some cases, Music Reports may license music on behalf of its clients from traditional rights societies, where such an approach is most advantageous for its clients. In other cases, however, Music Reports may bypass traditional rights societies using innovative strategies and license music directly from copyright owners, if desirable licenses are not available from the rights societies.
