WOODLAND HILLS, CA. Music Reports Inc. today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Zune for Music Reports to administer the music publishing licensing and royalty accounting for the Zune Pass subscription service in the United States.
Zune will participate in Music Reports' statutory mechanical licensing and reporting program for digital music services. Under this program, Music Reports distributes royalties on behalf of digital music services to, and prepares music usage reports and royalty accounting statements for, more than 17,000 music publishing administrators representing more than 65,000 individual publishers. Publishers have the option to download electronic music usage reports and accounting statements from password-protected Music Reports websites.
